Facilities can now create their own promo code for members, players, guests or friends to receive a discount or credit when booking. You must be a Discount Administrator, Administrator, or Super Administrator to access the Discounts module. Reference this guide for information about the roles: Administrator Roles.
This is a great feature if you want to offer early bird promotion for a court booking, events, camp or programming course registration. This could also be used for free trial sessions or credits for sessions that had to be canceled due to weather, for example. Please follow the steps below to complete these tasks:

Access the Discounts Module.
- Open the Discounts module found in the admin page. Click the Discount icon from the left hand panel.

Add a Discount.
- Click + Add Discount.

Complete the Discount Details section.
- Add the discount name.
- Please note: You can't use a discount name that is already in use or used.
- Add a promo code (case sensitive).
- The max code is 30 characters but best to keep it short as users will have to use the exact code as its case sensitive.

- Choose the type of discount - you can have a fixed amount or percentage, These can be limited to a max value to safeguard from misuse.
- Example: If you would like to offer $10 off of the total, enter 10 in the discount value.
- Example: To provide 25% off of the total value, enter 25%.
- Add the discount name.

Add Products.
- Click + Add product

Select Court Booking, Programming, or Events to choose what program(s) you would like to apply the code to.
- For Court Booking simply tick the box
- For Programming/camps and Events- Choose to assign to All Programs or Events by ticking the box to the right. You can choose specific programs/camps or events > arrow next to the category listed.

- The example below will apply to ALL team challenge programs.
- Once selected by checking the box, click Assign Discount to save your choices.

Add or remove products for the discount.
- Once selected, it will list the courses that it will apply to. To add more categories or courses, select Edit. To remove, select the trash icon (shown in red).

Set the discount usage
- Set how many times this discount code can be used overall. Entering, 25 for example, means it can only be activated 25 times in total.
- You can edit this amount at a later date if you want to allow more to use it.
- Set how many times a customer can use the discount code. You can limit it to a 1 time use per customer for example.

Set Active Dates.
- The start date is mandatory. It will automatically populate today's date, you can edit this to start in the future.
- The expiry date is optional but recommended.
- To add an expiry date, select yes and enter the date and time. This could be for a month or longer.
- You can edit this at a later date if you want to extend the promotion.

Finalize the discount.
- Once you have confirmed all is correct, click Create discount.

- Your created discounts will appear as shown below. If you have set the start date for the future, it will appear in the Scheduled discounts tab.
- To edit a discount, click edit discount from this page.
- Once you have made changes, click Save discount.
How Does a Player Apply a Discount at Checkout?
- The player would search for your course or camp and then select the program or camps dates as they would normally. Next, on the order summary page, the discount field is available.
- Once the code is applied, it will update the price before they Checkout.
Discount Code FAQs
Q: What happens if someone tries to enter a 'fake' promo code?
They will get the error below. If the code does not work, they can continue with the booking without the code.
Q: Are promo codes case sensitive?
Yes, they will need to be entered in exactly as you write them.
Q: I think my promo code has been shared with others and is being abused. What should I do?
At any point, you can disable the promo code to prevent others from using it. To do this, log into your discounts module, edit the promo code and edit the end date to today. This will automatically update and prevent any further usage. It will move to the Expired Discounts tab.
Q: How do I know who has used my promo codes?
At present, you can see how many have used the promo codes in the Discounts module. You can download this information by clicking on the download table.
You can also view the names of those who have used it and what for, by clicking on the Name of the Discount. This page shown below will display.
Q: If I also use Membership Discount or Sibling Discount, will the discount code also be applied?
Yes, it will apply all discounts that are allowed. It will be the percentage of the original price, not the price after the discounts have been applied.
Q: Who has access to the Discounts module and can apply discounts?
Only Discount Administrators, Administrators, or Super Administrators have access to the Discounts module. If you are a coach and would like access to apply a discount for your course, you will need to be added as a Discount Administrator.
