Swapping/Assigning/Removing A Seed In The Draw

From within Tournament Desk, you have the ability to swap and assign seeds once the draw has been created. This is done directly on the draw itself. To swap and assign seeds, follow the How to Access the Draw in Tournament Desk part of this article, then choose from the options below to manage your Seeds.

How to Access the Draw in Tournament Desk

• Launch Tournament Desk
  • Navigate to Tournament Desk by clicking Launch Tournament Desk on the tournament menu.

• Click on the Events tab and select the appropriate event.

• Click on the Draw tab.

How to Manually Assign a Seed to a Player

• Select the player you would like to seed. 
  • To assign a seed, click on the player and select Assign Seed. Enter the seed number and click Confirm.
    • You can complete this step to assign as many seeds as required.

How to Swap a Seeded Player

• Select the player you would like to swap.
  • Click on the player you are looking to swap, select Swap Player. Then select the player you are looking to swap with and click Swap Player.

NOTE: Depending on the level and type of draw, you may be prevented from swapping players in the consolation draw as per USTA regulations. To read more on this please see: Swapping Players in Consolation Draw

How to Remove a Seed from a Player

• Select the player you would like to remove the seed for.
  • Click on the player, select Assign Seed.

• Remove the Seed from the player.
  • Leave the Seed number field blank and click Confirm.
    • This will remove the seed from the player.
