What insurance programs are available for CTAs?
The USTA's discounted CTA insurance program currently includes a Master Liability policy and a Directors & Officers (D&O) and Employment Practices Liability policy.
- Master Liability Policy: provides coverage for liability claims arising from:
- Injury or death to a player or participant
- Accidental injury to a bystander or spectator
- Property damage to the tennis facility or site
- Allegations of libel, slander, abuse, or molestation
- The operation of a rented vehicle
- D&O (Directors and Officers) and Employment Practices Liability Policy: covers errors and omissions in business decisions and employment-related matters, protecting community tennis club executives and managers from personal liability exposure.

- Qualified USTA CTAs and their Programs and Employees
- Volunteers Acting on Behalf of the Organization
- Additional Insureds - Facility Owners, Lessors, Municipalities (when required by contract)

What are the requirements to participate in the USTA CTA insurance plan?
Your CTA must meet the following requirements:
- Your CTA is registered online with the USTA at https://ct.usta.com/CTA/Default.aspx. For assistance with the registration, contact your USTA Section office.
- Your CTA USTA Organization Member is an Active Member of the USTA. To join, go to www.usta.com/orgmember or call 1-800-990-8782.
- Your CTA is incorporated as a non-profit organization in your respective state. To incorporate, contact your Secretary of State's Office.
- Coverage under this plan does not apply to any member organization that owns or is under contract to operate or maintain a commercial or public tennis facility.
How much does the USTA CTA insurance program cost?
- Qualified CTAs with organization budgets under $25,000 contribute $275/year.
- Qualified CTAs with organization budgets over $25,000 contribute $700/year.
