When you join USTA Flex, your placement is determined by your tennis experience and rating. Below you can find a breakdown of how placement is determined.
Returning Players:
- Placement is based on your WTN and your past performance in USTA Flex leagues to ensure competitive matchups.
New Players with No Ratings:
- If you don’t have a WTN or NTRP, your placement will be based on the self-rating you provided during account setup.
- Approximately two weeks after your first match on the USTA Flex app, your official WTN rating will be generated and visible in the USTA Flex app.
New Players with WTN Ratings:
- Your World Tennis Number (WTN) is used to place you in the appropriate flight or ladder ranking (A local organizer may use your NTRP rating to adjust your positioning.)
