How to Enter a Walkover / Retirement / Defaults / Withdraw on the Day / Other Score
Note for choosing the Withdraw option: If a player withdraws on the day, but they still want to play in the consolation draw or the tournament has already started then this is where you will enter the withdraw for the 1st round.
- From Tournament Desk, select the event to be scored.
- Click on Enter Score next to the name of the players in the appropriate match, or click the three dots and choose Enter Score.
-
Choose a Match Status from the drop-down and click Apply.
If you are unsure what the correct status should be used please reach out to the referee or your section.
-
Back Draw Propagation: 'Carry over losing participants [status] to any further matches or draws for this event', will be enabled by default. This updates a player's status in the back draw. You can uncheck this if needed.
Applicable for: Compass, Compass, FMLC, Curtis Consolation, FIC to SF, FIC to QF, Voluntary Consolation, FIC to R16, Modified feed in championship & Feed in Championship
NOT applicable to draw types: Single Elimination, Adhoc Round, RR, RR with Playoff draw type.
- To remove the status for an updated match, click the three dots and select 'Clear Scores'.
- If you receive an error when editing a score that changes the outcome of a match when subsequent matches in the bracket have already been recorded, you must clear the match scores in reverse chronological order. You essentially need to "backtrack" the player’s progress before the system will let you edit the original match. See this guide on common errors and FAQ's when making updates to scores in draws: See this guide on common errors and FAQ's when making updates to scores in draws: FAQ and Common Errors with updating scores
Note: If you play a round-robin with playoffs match, all matches need to have a clear winner. You will need to mark them with WO rather than canceled match because a canceled match shows an incomplete tournament and the group positions will not show and playoffs will not be generated.
To enter a retirement when the match is partially played
If some of the games were played, but the set was not completed, you can still enter the scores here.
- Enter the losing score first. It will automatically populate the result as if the set had been completed, but you can correct this by highlighting the score you wish to change so it highlights, DO NOT press backspace, and enter the score.
- Enter the reason for the incomplete match, i.e. retirement - click on the three dots next to the player(s) name. The match status box will appear, choose from one of the options. Click Apply.

To enter an incomplete match score
This is a good feature when play is rained off mid-match. You can enter in an incomplete score, which can be updated when play continues. To do this is similar to retirement.
- Enter in the scores, it will auto-populate the full set, click on the score you want to change to edit the score.
- Click on the three dots and select Other and Incomplete match.
Note: If the match is not completed, you will need to edit the match so there is a winner to progress or get points. You should then mark it as Abandoned.
