Firstly log in to your Serve Tennis account and access the administrator area.
Select 'Social Play' within the admin menu to the left of your screen.
Now select '+ Add' in the top right corner:
You now have 2 options, you can create either:
- League Season - this will be run over multiple weeks and participants will be able to either register as an individual or as part of a team.
- League Event - this will be run on a single day, participants register as an individual and they will then be organized into a team.
We will firstly look at creating a League Season.
You will need to complete the basic details of the league
League status, you have a number of options for the league status:
- Public, the league will be available to everyone and will appear on your site
- Direct Link Only, the league will not appear online, but you can share a direct link with individuals you would like to invite to join.
- Hidden, the league will not be available to anyone, this setting is useful to use when making any changes to avoid any confusion.
- Archived, the league is no longer available at your facility and will be moved into your archived leagues listing.
Now you will need to give your league a name, specify the date you would like it to commence, enter the number of weeks the league is to run for. Select the league start time and the duration.
Finally, you will need to select the facility where the league will be taking place. You can search by name, address, or Zipcode. If there are no search results then you will have the option to add a facility.
Now you will need to complete the 'Teams & Scoring' section.
You can specify the number of teams you would like in your league or leave blank if you do not wish to set a limit.
Finally, you will need to complete the 'Payments & cancellation' section.
You have the ability to enable or disable cash or other payments. If you do choose to accept cash payments then you will need to ensure that you enter payment instructions within the confirmation text. When an individual registers and selects cash, then these instructions will be included within the confirmation.
Please note: If you want your event for free. Then click offline and enter $0 in the cost.
Now select 'Create League'
If you are creating a League Event, the steps to create a league will be very similar to explained above.
You will first need to complete the basic details.
League status, you have a number of options for the league status:
- Public, the league will be available to everyone and will appear on your site
- Direct Link Only, the league will not appear online, but you can share a direct link with individuals you would like to invite to join.
- Hidden, the league will not be available to anyone, this setting is useful to use when making any changes to avoid any confusion.
- Archived, the league is no longer available at your facility and will be moved into your archived leagues listing.
Now you will need to give your event a name, specify the date, start, and end time.
Finally, you will need to select the facility where the league will be taking place. You can search by name, address, or Zip code. If there are no search results then you will have the option to add a facility.
Finally, complete 'Payments & cancellations', here you can enable / disable cash payments. If you will be accepting cash payments then you will need to ensure you complete payment instructions within the confirmation field. This will be displayed on the player's confirmation when they complete the registration.
Now select 'Create event'.
Once you have created your league. You can go to the league webpage.
Here, you can add further detail about the league. Including rules, contact details, add a photo, sponsor, waiver, what is included in the confirmation email. You can also choose to turn on the schedule, results, and standings for the league in the public forum. To do this you need to toggle the buttons to the right so they show blue. If these are not turned on, your players will not be able to see the standings themselves.
You can add one waiver, when added the person registering will have to agree to the terms and conditions of the waiver before completing their registration.
