Match Notifications and Communication
When the season starts, you’ll receive an email with your assigned opponents and match details on the USTA Flex app’s homepage.
You can coordinate match times and locations via the in-app chat or by email (provided in the assignment email). Also feel free to exchange phone numbers for easier scheduling!
Court Booking and Fees
Court booking is a decision made between both players. Players are responsible for sharing any court booking fees, as the USTA Flex app does not handle these payments.
Home & Away Matches
There are no designated "home" or "away" matches. You and your opponent are free to choose a a time and location for your matches.
Tennis Balls
Unless otherwise stated in your league rules, both players should bring their own tennis balls. The match winner keeps the unopened can.
Scoring Formats
Before your match, both players must agree on the scoring format unless your league rules specify one.
Options include:

2 Sets + Match tie-break
Example: 6-3, 4-6, 8-10
(Be sure to record the full match tiebreak score - e.g. 8-10, not 0-1) -
3 Sets
Example: 6-3, 4-6, 2-6 -
2 FAST4 sets + Match tie-break
2 sets to 4 games with a tiebreak at 3-3If tied at one set all, a 10-point tie-break determines the winner. This is ideal for limited court time.

Free Format (any score)
Any score can be reported.
World Tennis Number (WTN) Impact
All USTA Flex match played using the 2 Sets + Match Tie-break format or 3 Sets format will count toward your World Tennis Number (WTN) rating.
