If a tournament needs to be canceled or postponed due to circumstances out of the Tournament Director's control - this can only be done in Serve Control by the section/district staff. The Tournament Director will reach out to the Section Staff to request this.
You have three options:

Delete Tournament | Use when you know this tournament will not occur anytime in the future. If a tournament has been created in error. Note: You will not be able to retrieve the data if deleted. You will need to raise a ticket to customer service to request this. | Customer Service staff |
To cancel or postpone an event follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to servecontrol.com
Step 2: Find the approved tournament using the status filter 'approved'
Step 3: Click on the tournament you wish to edit. This will open the tournament. On the top right-hand side, click the drop-down Tournament actions box and choose Edit Tournament.
Step 4: This will open up the Tournament - click Edit Tournament.
Step 5: In the Tournament name* - you can add 'canceled' or 'postponed' in front of the name.

For the registration date, you need to close the registration on yesterday's date. This will then prevent anyone from registering for the event. Edit the registration close date.
Step 6: Click Update Tournament
Step 7: You can click on Preview Tournament to check that the event is correctly updated and registration to the event is closed.
To reverse this step, i.e. open it up again. You do the same, edit the tournament, update the name of the tournament and change the date of the tournament, and open for registration.
Note: The Tournament Director will be able to communicate and email any players that have registered for the Tournament through the players tab in the Serve Tennis account.
To hide a tournament follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to Servecontrol.com
Step 2: Find the approved tournament using the status filter 'approved'
Step 3: Click on the tournament you wish to edit. This will open the tournament.
Click edit tournament and close the registration date to prevent anyone from registering. Save tournament.
Step 4: On the top right-hand side, you click the drop-down Tournament actions box and choose Hide Tournament.
Step 5: An overlay will appear, click Hide Tournament.
Step 6: You will now see the status has changed to Hidden.
Note: To unhide the tournament - you complete the same steps as above but can now 'unhide tournament'. You will notice the Hidden status is removed.
To delete a tournament
To delete a tournament you will need to contact the Customer Care team to complete this task. Please include the tournament name, date, and reason for deleting the tournament. If possible please include the URL of the tournament from Serve Control. Please note if people have registered for the tournament, we are unable to delete the tournament.
Deleting the tournament will mean all data in the tournament is lost and is not recoverable. If a sanction fee has been paid, you will need to refund the Tournament Director directly. At present, you are unable to offer a refund through the system.
