If a tournament needs to be canceled or postponed due to circumstances out of the Tournament Director's control - this can only be done in Serve Control by the section/district staff. The Tournament Director will reach out to the Section Staff to request this.
You have three options:
Action | When you use this | Who has access to action |
Cancel Tournament | The status will be updated in the following places:
|
Serve Control Staff |
Postpone Tournament |
When you want to postpone the tournament to another date rather than cancel it. You can hide the tournament (below) if needed prior to updating the new date. | Serve Control Staff |
Hide Tournament | When you want to remove the tournament from the tournament search, but keep the content as you can change the details later. Useful if the tournament will be run later in the year. Make sure you close the registration. | Serve Control Staff |
Delete Tournament | An approved or submitted tournament can be deleted by the Serve Control Customer Care team. You will lose all data of the tournament and it will not be retrieved at a later date. This is helpful when you have created the tournament in error. If the tournament is in the planning stage, you can delete the tournament application. For more information, please click here. You will not be able to retrieve the data if deleted. You will need to raise a ticket to customer service to request this. |
