USTA offers a range of opportunities to play and promote tennis in the United States. To access USTA play opportunities, and stay updated on the sport, or organize events as a Provider, you first need a USTA Account. You can create a USTA account free of cost.
What are the types of USTA accounts?
USTA Accounts can be classified into three categories based on the age group and the purpose of the account:
- Accounts for 12 years and younger:
- Children under 13 can't have an independent USTA Account. They must be linked to a parent.
- If this applies, please first create a parent account for yourself by following these instructions.
- Then link your child to your account by following the steps found here.
- Adding a Child to your account will create a new account for your child. Your child will be assigned a unique USTA number.
- If they already have a USTA account, you will be asked to enter the USTA number while adding them to your account as a parent.
- Parents are not required to have a paid membership to link their children to their account.
- Although the junior membership is free, you will still need to upgrade the junior account with a membership.
- Children under 13 can't have an independent USTA Account. They must be linked to a parent.
- Accounts for those who are 13 years and older:
- Those who are older than 13 can create an independent USTA account as long as the email is not already in use. You may refer to How to Create a USTA Account for instructions.
- Please note that Junior players between 13-19 years can still be linked to a parent account while having independent login.
- Once you've created an account, you will be assigned a unique USTA number.
- To upgrade your USTA account with a membership, you will need to pay a membership fee. You can purchase a USTA membership by following these instructions.
- Those who are older than 13 can create an independent USTA account as long as the email is not already in use. You may refer to How to Create a USTA Account for instructions.
- Accounts for Providers:
- Providers can link an organization in the 'BUSINESS' tab, and activate the organization to get access to the Serve Tennis platform. For more information on Serve Tennis, please refer to Welcome To Serve Tennis.
- Please follow steps on How to Create a USTA Account as a Provider to create your account and link your organization.
- Coaches can complete their Coach Profile and get access to Net Generation Coaching Tools. Please continue to How To Complete the Coach Profile for steps on completing the Coach profile. If you would like more information on Net Generation Coaching tools, please refer to Get Started on the Net Generation App.
- Providers can link an organization in the 'BUSINESS' tab, and activate the organization to get access to the Serve Tennis platform. For more information on Serve Tennis, please refer to Welcome To Serve Tennis.
What can you do with your USTA account?
Once you create a USTA account, you will be able to view and manage information about yourself and any linked child accounts:
- Profile
- Basic information about yourself such as profile photo, USTA Section/District, NTRP rating, tournament registrations, national ranking, and more.
- Account
- The Account tab is where you can manage all of your basic personal information such as your name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, mailing address, residency declaration, and more. You can also update the email linked to your account from this page.
- Family
- Details of children linked to your account. Ability to manage their profile, edit their account details and get their USTA information.
- Business
- You can manage organizations through here. Ability to add/link the organizations to your account and connect to Serve Tennis.
- Membership
- If your USTA account or linked child account has an active membership, information about the membership(s) will be displayed on this page. You will also find your digital membership card and member discount page link here.
- Wallet
- You can manage payment information for your USTA membership on this tab.
- Notifications
- On this tab, you can manage your USTA account notification. This includes any physical and digital communication from the USTA.
- Schools
- For PE Teachers and Coaches, you can register on this page to receive access to free curriculum and coaching practice plans.
