Team Tournament Player Selections

Players in the Main Event will be charged at Player Selection.  Manually added players will need to be sent a payment request.  

Note: If manually added players have not completed the manual payment request, the amount to be charged will show when teams are promoted to the main draw.  Please remember to send payment request to receive the payment.  

You will then create your teams from within in Tournament Desk.  

• Select the 'Players tab' from within the Tournament in the admin side of Serve Tennis.  Now click on the 'Player Selections' tab.
• Click the blue Selections box.

• You can sort by players by Registration Date, NTRP, Ranking, or WTN in the Unselected Players box on the right.

• Move all players to the Main Draw or Alternates section on the left.  You can do this individually or in bulk:
  
  • Drag and drop players-  click and drag players from Unselected players on the right to the Main Draw or Alternates section on the left side. 
  • Move all players at once- Click the three dots on the top right corner of the Unselected Players box and click 'Add all unassigned'. 

• Once completed, players will show in the box on the left.  
• Click 'Save Selections' on the bottom right. Once selections are saved and registration is closed, you will be able to finalize events. 

• Click 'Finalize' on the bottom right.
• Go back to the Player Selections tab and click 'Charge Players'.  PLAYERS WILL BE CHARGED AT THIS STAGE.  If players were manually added, they will not be charged and will need to be sent a payment request. 
  • All players will now move into Tournament Desk. 
    
  • The players list will show in the Players view- Acceptance list on https://playtennis.usta.com/tournaments - if you want to hide the players list until you are ready. You can do this from the Serve Tennis Admin. Web Info - Hide Players List - save and update. 
          
                                         
    
    
  • You will now be able to Launch Tournament Desk.  Players will need to be added to teams in Tournament Desk.  See the guide: Creating Teams and Adding Players to a Team-Team Tournaments

Dominant Duo Player Selection

• Since you have the ability to create a team limit for Dominant Duo during event creation, the Player Selection area will have an Alternate Section as well as Unpaired Players, and Main Draw.  
• First you will create doubles teams
  • Click 'Add Doubles Team' in blue under Unselected players

• • Pair up the players as desired

    

• Filter the players by ‘paired’ and move all players into Alternates or Main draw sections on the left.  You can do do this individually or in bulk:
  
  • Drag and drop players-  click and drag players from Unselected players on the right to the Unpaired Players section on the left side. 
  • Move all players at once- Click the three dots on the top right corner of the Unselected Players box and click 'Add all unassigned'. 

• Note: There will also be an Alternate field to place team beyond the limit you placed.  For example if you created the event with a limit of 4 teams and you have 5 teams, you would place one team in alternates.   
•  Click 'Save Selections' on the bottom right. Once selections are saved and registration is closed, you will be able to finalize events.

                     

  • Click 'Finalize' on the bottom right.

    • The public view will show a list of accepted players on the public page for team events before the players have been added to a team in Tournament Desk. 
      • The list of ‘Available’ players will be added to the bottom of the ‘Main draw’ .
      • The list of ‘Alternate’ players will be added to the bottom of the ‘Alternates’ .
        
        If you want to hide the players list until you are ready. You can do this from the Serve Tennis Admin. Web Info - Hide Players List - save and update.
